The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip on Thursday released new figures documenting the scale of the massacres that have affected Palestinian families during the Zionist enemy's war of extermination on Gaza from October 2023 through July 2026, confirming that thousands of families have been completely erased from the civil registry while tens of thousands of children have lost one or both parents.

According to the ministry, 2,276 Palestinian families were wiped out in their entirety after all of their members were killed. The total number of victims from these families reached 8,858, with the ministry stating that these families were completely removed from the civil registry as a result of the ongoing massacres.

The ministry added that 2,348 additional families were subjected to massacres in which only one family member survived, while the number of people killed in these families reached 8,340.

It further reported that 4,903 Palestinian families also experienced large-scale massacres but had more than one survivor. The total number of victims in these families amounted to 13,607.

In another section of its statistics, the ministry highlighted the humanitarian impact of the war on children in the Gaza Strip, stating that the conflict has left 60,737 children orphaned since the beginning of the Zionist enemy's war of genocide.

According to the ministry, 52,095 children lost their fathers, 5,929 lost their mothers, and 2,713 children lost both parents, leaving them without direct parental care as a result of the massacres witnessed across the Gaza Strip.

The ministry said these figures reflect the extensive targeting of Palestinian families in Gaza amid the continuing consequences of the war, which has resulted in thousands of people killed and wounded and has caused profound social and humanitarian impacts on Palestinian society, particularly on children who have lost their parents during this period.
