The Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) today issued a second warning to airlines, reaffirming the dangers posed to air navigation in Saudi airspace.

The warning stated:

“As a result of the ongoing blockade and the unjust aggression by the Saudi regime against the Yemeni people,

The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that all airlines operating in Saudi airspace must exercise caution and vigilance, as Saudi airspace is considered a theater of operations for our missile forces—with the exception of the sacred airspace above Mecca and Medina—until the aggression and blockade against our country come to an end.

The Yemeni Armed Forces urge all airlines not to ignore these warnings and to take them seriously.

Accordingly, the Yemeni Armed Forces disclaim full responsibility for any risks or consequences that may arise for aircraft, their crews, passengers, and personnel as a result of airlines failing to comply with the warning to stay away from the airspace over the aforementioned areas.

The Yemeni Armed Forces further affirm that this warning remains in effect until further notice, and that you will be informed of any developments as soon as they occur.”
