Lahj Governor Ahmed Hammoud Juraib Al-Subaihi has renewed his assurances to the people of Al-Subaiha that Yemen’s armed forces pose no threat to them, their land, or their sons.

In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), Al-Subaihi said: “Dear members of the Al-Subaiha tribes, we reiterate from Sanaa that there is no danger to you, your land, or your sons. The ongoing operations in some areas are directed against military buildups by the Saudi enemy and its mercenaries—not against you or any of the people of the south.”

He added: “How many people from Al-Subaiha have been killed or wounded, their lives squandered as they are turned into cannon fodder for the Saudi enemy? Those who seek to intimidate you and exaggerate the threat are trying to drag you into battles in which you have no stake, compelling you to defend the interests of Saudi Arabia and the Islah Party rather than your own land or dignity.”

Al-Subaihi continued: “You know better than anyone who defended your land and who sold it out. Do not listen to the enemy’s mouthpieces seeking to turn you into cannon fodder in their war, and do not be swayed by calls to prolong the conflict and further deplete your ranks.”

He stressed that the Yemeni armed forces are not targeting the people of the southern governorates, underscoring that their objective is clear: military buildups by the Saudi enemy. He further noted that Al-Subaiha’s continued standing alongside the nation is the path to driving out the occupation and lifting the blockade.

Al-Subaihi concluded: “From Sanaa, we reaffirm our message to you: Do not be afraid or submit to anyone. You are the rightful owners of the land and the decision-makers. Stand with us against those who seek to harm us and you alike.”
