The Yemen Scholars Association said the Saudi enemy’s escalating attacks and crimes against Yemen require scholars, preachers and religious leaders to mobilize public support and urge resistance to Saudi military deployments.
In a statement issued Saturday evening, the association said Saudi attacks and disregard for Yemeni lives place responsibility on the entire Yemeni people to mobilize, defend the country and seek justice for the victims.
It stressed that the Saudi enemy is continuing to shed Yemeni blood and target populated villages and cities far from the front lines.
The association called on those aligned with the Saudi regime, as well as those justifying or legitimizing its aggression, to fear Allah and reconsider their positions.
It warned that continued escalation and massacres would bring divine condemnation and hasten the Saudi regime’s downfall.
The association also praised principled positions by Muslim scholars, particularly Libya’s Grand Mufti, who had spoken out in defense of the truth.
It concluded that the Saudi enemy’s escalation gives the Yemeni Armed Forces the right to respond, deter further attacks and retaliate wherever necessary, describing such action as a legitimate right under the Quran.
The Yemen Scholars Association’s statement comes amid growing warnings that continued Saudi escalation will carry military and political consequences, as Yemeni forces maintain their readiness to respond to attacks on the country.
