The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) affirmed today, Friday, that the Israeli blockade on Gaza must be lifted so that it can continue its work.
UNRWA said, "5,000 children in Gaza are facing severe malnutrition due to the lack of humanitarian aid."
Two infants died in the Gaza Strip yesterday evening, Thursday, due to malnutrition and the depletion of infant formula amid the ongoing tight blockade and genocide being carried out by the Israeli enemy in the Strip.
According to local sources, the families of the two infants buried their bodies at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, after they died as a result of being deprived of the most basic rights of health care and nutrition.
Medical sources warned of an imminent health disaster threatening the lives of infants due to the depletion of infant formula amid the ongoing blockade and war.
With full American support since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
