Several Israeli officers and soldiers admitted on Friday to kill several Palestinians at aid distribution centers in Gaza.
Israeli officers and soldiers testified to Haaretz newspaper: "Gaza residents were deliberately shot near humanitarian aid distribution centers, even though they posed no threat."
Haaretz reported soldiers saying: "Israeli army commanders ordered the shooting at aid seekers to deter them."
It continued: "The distribution centers in Gaza are like a killing field, and the Israeli gunfire was more likely to be used against an attacking force."
The newspaper added: "The Israeli army is firing every conceivable type of heavy machine gun at aid seekers in the Gaza Strip."
Israeli soldiers said, "We never saw any gunfire from the opposing side during aid distribution operations."
The soldiers added, "The army believes it has succeeded in gaining legitimacy to continue fighting through aid distribution centers, and it is happy about that."
They continued, "Gaza no longer concerns anyone; it has become a place with its own laws. Even killings no longer require "unfortunate incidents," as they described them.
A number of civilians were killed and others wounded on Friday in separate raids launched by Israeli air forces on various areas of the Gaza Strip, in addition to targeting those waiting for aid.
Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat said, "One martyr and five wounded arrived at the hospital, bringing the total number of wounded to 30 as a result of the Israeli enemy's targeting of gatherings of citizens waiting for aid on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Wadi Gaza area in the central Gaza Strip."
