The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) described the US-Israeli aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip as a killing ground after hundreds of starving people were killed by Israeli army gunfire while trying to obtain food.
The UN agency said in a statement on its X account on Friday that "the new aid distribution system in Gaza is a killing ground. Instead of orderly food distribution, this system brings chaos and death."
It added: "More than 400 starving people have been reported killed since it was introduced just one month ago, shot while trying to obtain food for themselves and their families."
UNRWA noted that "testimonies indicate that Israeli army forces are firing indiscriminately at gatherings of starving civilians" in the Gaza Strip.
“In the midst of the chaos, children were separated from their families and are in a state of loss and trauma,” she explained.
