The Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) announced that it has imposed sanctions on 64 companies that violated the naval blockade imposed against the Israeli enemy.
In a statement, the center explained that since the enforcement of the naval blockade began, it has contacted the shipping companies whose vessels violated the blockade decision, notifying them of sanctions due to their non-compliance despite receiving pre-penalty warnings prior to entering ports under Israeli occupation.
The center emphasized that, as part of its efforts to help companies avoid sanctions, it continues to send pre-penalty notices to shipping companies with vessels heading to Israeli-occupied ports, warning them of the consequences of violating the naval blockade.
Sanction notices were issued to 64 violating companies, with all fleets belonging to these companies now banned from crossing the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb Strait, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea, and subject to targeting by the Yemeni Armed Forces in any reachable area.
The HOCC held the violating companies fully responsible for all consequences resulting from these sanctions and stressed that sanctions will continue against any company violating the naval blockade, regardless of nationality.
It affirmed its ongoing commitment to penalize companies that ignore pre-penalty warnings and persist in violating the naval blockade imposed on the Israeli occupation entity, noting that these companies bear full responsibility for any resulting consequences.
The center clarified that these sanction measures aim to pressure the Israeli occupation entity to cease its aggression and lift the siege on Gaza. It also indicated that some shipping companies have begun severing ties with violators and excluding the Israeli occupation entity from their commercial activities.
