The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din Al-Houthi, said Hezbollah’s military operations in southern Lebanon remain “effective and influential,” stressing that they are exerting “real pressure” on the Israeli enemy amid continued aggression and violations against Lebanon.
In a speech delivered Monday on the occasion of the holy month of Dhul-Hijjah, Sayyed Abdulmalik devoted a significant portion of his remarks to developments in Lebanon, condemning more than fifteen months of continuous Israeli enemy attacks, including daily killings, destruction of homes, targeting of agricultural lands with toxic gases, kidnappings, aerial violations, and preventing residents of southern towns from returning to their villages.
He stated that Israeli aggression had continued despite the latest agreement reached under Pakistani sponsorship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Axis of Resistance on one side, and the American and Israeli enemy on the other.
The Leader stressed that Hezbollah is carrying out its legitimate duty in confronting Zionist aggression against Lebanon and the Lebanese people, concedering attacks on southern Lebanon as an assault on the sovereignty of the entire country.
He criticized certain factions within the Lebanese authority for blaming Hezbollah for the escalation and pressuring the movement instead of confronting the Israeli enemy, saying such positions serve the enemy and ignore the fact that Israel continues violating all agreements in both Gaza and Lebanon.
Praising Hezbollah’s recent operations in southern Lebanon, Sayyed Abdulmalik said the attacks restore dignity to the Lebanese people and create genuine pressure on the occupation, adding that Lebanese authorities should have used the resistance operations to push for a halt to aggression and a full Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory.
He further stated that Hezbollah would never accept any formula based on disarmament while occupation and aggression continue, warning against political and media campaigns aimed at distorting the image of Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements through the adoption of American and Israeli narratives portraying resistance weapons as the core problem.
Addressing developments in Syria, the leader said the groups controlling the country had failed to secure stability despite avoiding direct confrontation with the Israeli enemy, pointing to continued Israeli occupation, killings, kidnappings, and violations inside Syrian territory, particularly in the south.
He asserted that the United States seeks, in both Lebanon and Syria, to remove obstacles preventing expanded Israeli control in the region, affirming that Washington as a direct partner in the project of “Greater Israel” and broader plans to reshape the Middle East.
The Leader also pointed to Israeli military exercises conducted this week simulating surprise attacks on Egypt and Jordan, warning that Israeli maps and statements reveal ambitions extending across the Levant and into parts of Egyptian territory.
The remarks come amid escalating regional tensions and continued Israeli enemy operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, alongside growing warnings from resistance movements about broader Israeli and American plans targeting the region.
Hezbollah has intensified operations against Israeli positions in southern Lebanon in response to ongoing attacks and repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty by the Israeli enemy.
