Three martyrs and three wounded individuals have arrived at hospitals across the strip over 24 hours, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday. Among the deceased, two were reported as new martyrs, while a third died from previously sustained wounds.
In a separate incident, a correspondent for Al Mayadeen in Gaza reported that fishermen were wounded by Israeli naval gunfire off the coast of Khan Younis city in the southern part of the enclave. Additionally, our correspondent reported that several Palestinians were wounded in an airstrike on the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
Our correspondent further detailed that yesterday, a Palestinian man was killed and another was injured in an attack carried out by an Israeli drone near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Younis.
Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, the total number of martyrs has reached 880, while the total number of injuries stands at 2,605. Additionally, 776 bodies have been recovered from the rubble.
Since October 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll in Gaza has risen to 72,772, with a cumulative total of 172,707 injuries recorded.
Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement, which was brokered and took effect on October 11, 2025.
'Israel' attacks food kitchen, killing three Palestinians
Three Palestinians were martyred on May 17, after occupation forces struck a food kitchen operating near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
The strike targeted a civilian food distribution point, adding to a growing toll of deliberate Israeli targeting of humanitarian infrastructure across the besieged strip.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported a series of strikes spanning central and southern Gaza throughout May 17. In central Gaza, an Israeli drone bombed a group of civilians east of the al-Bureij refugee camp, while another drone attack on central Khan Younis killed one and injured several others.
In the south, occupation forces bombed a tent near Roni Street in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, leaving martyrs and injuries, and shelled eastern Khan Younis with artillery fire, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent. A further attack on civilians outside the old al-Yazji Bakery in Tal al-Hawa, south of Gaza City, wounded nine people, one critically.
Gaza's hospitals reported six Palestinians martyred in Israeli attacks across the Strip since morning on May 17, including one who succumbed to wounds from an earlier strike on Beit Lahia in the north.
